media NGO that has been
operational in Malawi since 1997
.In order to effectively manage its
project Story Workshop would like to URGENTLY hire qualified ,experienced, selfmotivated,team oriented
and principled individual to
fill the position of Resource Mobilization Manager , who is willing to work in a busy and
vibrant NGO environment , as outlined
below
RESOURCE MOBILIZATION MANAGER:
Reporting to the Head of Programs, the Resource Mobilization Manager will be responsible for
marketing SWET services, coordinating the service contracts team, drafting
projects proposals, writing success stories,
coordinating all public relations and stakeholders interactions
activities. She/he shall also be responsible for the SWET websites
activities
among others.
Specific
Responsibilities
1 .
Drafting project concepts and proposals
2 . Writing success stories and getting them published on a regular basis
3 .
Coordinating the public
relations activities in liaison with the
Executive Director
4 .
Coordinating the designing ,production and distribution of
outreach materials
5 .
Carryout any other duties as assigned from time to time
Education
and Experience:
1 .
A minimum qualification
of a Degree in Mass Communication Journalism ,Media for Development Education or Social Sciences
from recognised institutions
2 .
Strong background in proposal writing for
donor and corporate organizations.
Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
1 .
Strong training ,facilitation
and organizational Skills
2 .
Strong PR ,
marketing and negotiation skills
3 .
Strong understanding of project
monitoring and evaluation
4 .
Computer literate in MS office packages (word, Excel, Access,
PowerPoint) and statistical packages.
Terms of employment:
The successful candidate will be employed on an initial one
year contract subject to renewal based on performance continued availability of funds
