Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Organization: Evangelical Association of Malawi (Enhancing Community Resilience Project)

The Monitoring and eevaluation officer will be responsible for the learning component of the project management cycle

  1. Facilitate the development of an effective and user friendly M&E framewor
  2. Undertake local capacity building initiatives on community based participatory monitoring and evaluation initiatives
  3. Work with field staff on M&e functions for objective reporting and learning
  4. Initiate, plan and facilitate quarterly review meetings with community implementation partners
  5. Provide backstopping support in development of M&E components in the implementation of various projects within the organization
  6. Document emerging best practices in the implementation of the disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation projects
Qualification and requirements
1.      First degree in Social Sciences or related field
2.      At least 3 years experience implementing food security or other sectoral projects
3.      A minimum of 3 years experience in monitoring and evaluation
4.      Excellent research and data analytical skills
5.      Good written and oral communication skills (English and Chichewa)
6.      Computer literate
