Project Officer

Organization: Evangelical Association of Malawi (Enhancing Community Resilience Project)

The project Officer will be responsible for project implementation and monitoring and evaluation

Duties:

·     Day to day monitoring of project activities including training, progress of the civil protection committees, mitigation works and other community activities related to the ECR programme

·     Provide technical support and mentoring to village civil protection committee members in conducting and analyzing participatory vulnerability assessments

·     Support the development of project monitoring and evaluation tools

·     Collaborate with government and other stakeholders on disaster risk reduction issues

·     Conduct project research and monitoring and evaluation using project M&E tools

·     Document and report all emerging issues related to the project for the purpose of learning

·     Carry out duties as delegated by the immediate supervisor

Qualification and requirements:

1. Minimum of a bachelor degree in Agriculture, Development Studies or any related social science
2. A minimum of two years’ experience within an NGO set up, with a bias towards M&E
3. Must possess strong skills in both community development facilitation and supervisisng others
4. Good written and oral communication skills in English and Chichewa
5. Computer literate
6. Valid motorbike riding license
