LOCATION: VARIOUS DISTRICTS COUNCILS.
QUALIFICATION
Applicants should be Serving officers at Grade 1 with at least four
years of experience in Administration Work in District level and must be in possession
of a Degree in Social Sciences
or Public/Business Administration, Human Resource Management/Development.
Serving officers without a Degree must be at Grade1, with at least four years’
experience and a Diploma in Public Administration/Human Resource Management from
a recognized institution, with more than
four in relevant field ,will also be
considered.
DUTIES

Process and coordinates administrative matters
·
Prepare
estimates and control expenditure
· To assist
in preparation of new developments
projects
· Coordinates inter –ministerial meetings and other activities
· Supervise staff engagement in administrative
work Submit administrative reports.
· Provide
Secretarial work for meetings
· Assist in responding to audit queries
· Receiving and attending to inquiries
from bidders and suppliers ;
· Supervise
preparation of bid documents and tender process
· Counter approving of financial transaction s on line.
· Ensure that procurement plans have been prepared
and procurement report s have been
submitted to ODPP
· Ensure that all development projects are
professionally executed.
· Facilitate the development of strategic plan of
the District and to see to its implementation.
COMPETENCIES AND APTITUDES
The incumbent should have well developed interpersonal and
communication skills .He/She should have
sound knowledge of developments policies and priorities of Government so that these
are effectively translated to suit the District Council needs. Ability to
network with officials and experts in other organizations/institutions.
Sensitivity to the needs of local communities. Must be committed to remain and work in any
District Council in Malawi.
